Can You Live Without Sugar?

There are signs that there is going to be a sugar shortage.

Are you prepared to stand in long queues hoping to get your ration of sugar?

Now what could have happened to bring about this terrible situation?

World wide the sugar consumption this year is going to be more than the sugar available. Here are three possible reasons:

· Hurricane Katrina managed to cripple two of the biggest sugar refineries in New Orleans.

· She wiped out many sugar cane and beet crops. She had some help from other lesser hurricanes; so let’s spread the blame a bit.

· The largest producer of sugar in the world is Brazil. But the Brazilians are using sugar in the production of ethanol that is used in vehicle fuels. This is obviously more lucrative than producing sugar for humans to consume.

So If There Is A Sugar Shortage Will You Survive?


If you have what is referred to as a ‘sweet tooth’ you are going to feel deprived.

Are artificial sweeteners a good substitute?


Common artificial sweeteners are sucralose and saccharin. These are much sweeter than sugar itself.

Other sweeteners made quite often from cornstarch are used in the manufacture of foods. These are less sweet than sugar.

Yet fruits have natural sweeteners in them for example Maple Syrup and how often have you added Honey to your porridge?

Why Is Sugar In Food?


Sugar in our food is of course as a sweetener and a flavour enhancer.

It also does the following:

· During cooking it interacts with molecules of protein or starch
· Acts as a tenderiser
· Is responsible for putting the air into the fat during the creaming process
· Caramelises under heat. This gives certain foods a lovely colour and a very pleasant smell
· Speeds the growth of yeast by providing nourishment
· Stabilises eggs when being whipped
· Delays the coagulation of egg proteins in custard
· Plays an important part in gelling of fruit jellies and jams
· Prevents jellies and preserves from spoiling
· Makes canned foods more tender and attractive
· Improves the flavour and smoothness of ice cream

If there was no sugar, no doubt food manufacturers would use sugar substitutes – would we notice the difference?

It would be quite something, if we got used to living without sugar and eventually when sugar becomes freely available again we won’t need it any more.

Losing Weight While Keeping Your Skin Firm

Considering you don't have an excessive amount of loose skin already it is possible to lose weight and keep your skin firm in the process. The idea is to keep your body well hydrated day in and day out. NEVER EVER let yourself become dehydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and NEVER EVER totally eliminate your carbohydrate intake. From my experience most people who have lost weight too fast by eliminating their carbohydrates ended up with a lot of excess skin afterwards. The whole idea is to lose the weight to get healthier and of course to look better with your clothes ON and with your clothes OFF. Here are some tips

1. Follow a well rounded balanced diet such as my insulin response diet located at http://www.tbfinc.com

2. Follow a full body exercise routine alternating with a split routine every 4 weeks. For example, full body routine 4 weeks, split routine 4 weeks, full body routine 4 weeks, and so on.

3. Considering you don't have stomach ulcers and you are not on blood thinners you should also take ONE TEASPOON of cold artic cod liver oil ONCE PER DAY with your evening meal.

4. Take 1000-1500mg of lecithin per day. Lecithin has been known to increase the elasticity of the skin.

5. Anything you can do to increase circulation will also help. Skin brushing techniques are very good. Do a search on the internet for skin brushing to get all the info you need. Deep massages are also good.

6. Most importantly if you are more than 75 pounds overweight DO NOT try to lose weight too fast. The more you weigh the easier it will be to lose weight on this program so ease into it slowly so you only lose about 3 pounds per week. Doing this will prevent the sagging skin. If you lose weight too fast you will end up with loose skin 90% of the time.

7. Some of my clients have done weekly body wraps with great success but it can get messy. You can do this as an option but it's really not necessary.

As an option you can also take a supplement called collagen.

As I stated above one key to increasing the elasticity of your skin is to keep your body well hydrated. Yes, drinking water will do this. The average person needs at least ½ an ounce of water per pound of body weight. Possibly more depending on the type of exercise you do on a daily basis. The reason why so many people end up with loose skin after losing weight is because they go on low carbohydrate diets that will in turn dehydrate the body. If you lose weight and are dehydrated in the process you will see the scale weight go down but unfortunately most of the weight being lost is nothing more than water weight. If you are losing 2-3 pounds per week you are doing great. If you are losing 4-6 pounds you are pushing the limit. Any more than 6 pounds per week and you are sure to end up with loose skin after losing the weight because chances are you are restricting too many carbohydrates from your diet. Cutting out refined flours/breads and sugars will yield the best results.

Also, instead of getting on the scale every week to measure your progress go more by how your clothes are fitting. I always tell my clients to try on the tightest pair of pants they have and then follow my program for 4 weeks and then try them on again. After 4 weeks those tight fitting pants will be a thing of the past.

Follow all the above and you will see satisfactory results.

Talking To Your Emotions: How To Heal Your Life Quickly

What most people don't realize is that emotions are real things. The word E-Motion means energy in motion. Emotions become real the second you create them. However, where most people go wrong is they suppress them because they feel no right to have those feelings on an unconscious level. So then they bury these feelings and they sit there and grow waiting to get your full attention. These emotions become real like people and want to be honored and acknowledged. The more you ignore them, the bigger they impact your life because they want you to pay attention to them. If you keep hiding them or suppressing them, well, then they say ok...I will get your attention soon enough.

So, the key is to feel your emotions completely. If you have to cry for days then cry, if you feel like being alone then tell the people in your life you want space. Feel your emotions in their full capacity. They then fade into nothingness because they have been honored, felt and expressed. If you can really master this you can have dramatic shifts in your health, career, finances and relationships in a short period of time. This above all else will get you to optimum health and an amazing life faster than anything else.

Life events come into your life to teach you something. The Universe is always steering you where you are meant to be. When you resist and fight to have it your way, well, then you will get zinged because sometimes what your EGO wants is not what the Universe (Creator) has in store for you. It is kind of like getting into a raft and then letting the current of the stream take you for a ride. You don't have to paddle or apply any effort. The energy of the water is carrying you. However, when you try to go against the stream or go upstream as many people want to do in life, well, you end up exhausted, angry, bitter and completely confused. The key is to LET GO & ENJOY THE RIDE.

Essentially, illness, struggle, and drama is not trusting the process of life and wanting to go against the stream. The magic comes when you can learn to trust the Universe and LET GO, really let go and stop trying to control everything in life.

Perhaps, you getting fired from your job was the Universe attempting to tell you that you are now meant to do something else or perhaps it is a lesson of forgiveness and understanding or perhaps the Universe is steering you down a different path because maybe you are meant to do great things in life by helping people. Maybe, there is another profession that you are meant to do that will help more people than you were able to in your last profession.

Can you see this? On a spiritual level, the Universe is always out for your best interest. You must learn to surrender to the Infinite Intelligence that created this amazing Universe and beyond. Do you think that the Creator would cause you to suffer or steer you down the wrong path? The Creator that created everything you see and the perfection of all of it...do you for one minute think that it would mess your life up by pointing you in the wrong direction? IT IS ALL PERFECT.

The EGO doesn't want you to see that because to see your life that way would mean the end of it...THE EGO,the false self that has taken control of your life all these years.

That is your mission in this life, to merge back with your spirit and surrender all the illusions of the EGO. This is the place of magic, healing, happiness, health, joy and freedom.

Exercise For Rapid Emotional Healing

So, for rapid emotional healing you must go deep within yourself and ask...what am I really feeling? Then write down what comes up. Let those feelings be there for the moment. Honor those feelings and talk to them and say..."I know you are there...I feel you". Tell those feelings that it is ok to express themselves. Let whatever comes simply express itself. If it is anger be angry...if it is frustration be frustrated...if it is bitterness then be bitter. Allow the emotions to fully express themselves. Keep your concentration on the center of the feeling. You will find that when you are honest with your feelings and really acknowledge them and express them fully....after, these feelings will fade away.

7 THING YOU SHOULD AVOID AFTER MEALS !!!


(1) Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is Comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).



(2) Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before Meal.






(3) Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will because the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to Digest.






(4) Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be Twisted & blocked.





(5) Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus The amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the Digestive system in our stomach.





(6) Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live
Till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to Absorb the nutrition from the food we intake .




(7) Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will Lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.
